First Place: “Turquoise Days, Tequila Nights”

JB and DeEtte Sallee like to keep things very simple when it comes to album design. “We like to let the photography speak, not the design. It’s really all about the image,” JB says.
“This wedding was photographed in Playa Carmen, Mexico,” JB offers. “It was a destination wedding for a couple from Dallas who met us at our Dallas Bridal Show. They wanted something different for their wedding.”
That’s exactly what this award-winning husband and wife team gave them.
“We designed a 20” x 8” album that opened up vertically,” JB says. “We liked the fact that it opens up to the 16” x 20” size. Plus each page is a nice skinny panorama.” The Sallees had the album printed on 16” x 20” KODAK PROFESSIONAL ENDURA Metallic Paper. “The glossy look adds appeal,” JB explains.
The Sallees opened their studio four years ago, and have been making quite a mark ever since. In addition to the 2007 1st-place KODAK Gallery Elite Award, they have won the 2005, 2006, and 2007 Dallas Photographer of the Year; 2006 and 2007 International Photographer of the Year; and numerous album design awards.
